About

I’m the managing editor for the Bellevue Leader, Papillion Times, Ralston Recorder and Gretna Breeze newspapers, all based in Bellevue, Neb.

I also cover city government in the City of Papillion, Neb., and the City of La Vista, Neb.

In addition to that, I cover public safety in Bellevue, Papillion, La Vista and Springfield.

I started this blog for an online media class focusing on outdoor activities in Omaha. Since my class ended, I’ve modified my site to showcase some of my other works, including my portfolio and links to Omaha World-Herald articles. I’ve also included some of my own personal opinion articles and photos.

Previously I worked part-time as a messenger at the Omaha World-Herald. I held that position for two years. I spent one summer as an intern in Special Sections at the World-Herald. I worked on compiling the Metro Guide, as well as writing for other special sections such as Kids Camp.

I graduated  in May 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in news editorial from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. At UNO, I was the news editor for the student newspaper, The Gateway. I was also active in UNO’s PRSSA chapter and student-run firm, MaverickPR.
